I probably should have tried to read this some other time, but I was doggedly determined to wrap up all the loose ends. There were so many times when I wanted to move on to something else. The writing was flawless, but I felt as though things just kept getting swamped down. When there was action I couldn't put the book down, but the rest of the time I was constantly rolling my eyes in exasperation and wanting to shake some sense into Eona. I will admit the ending was chock full of twists and turns. I enjoyed the last hundred pages or so quite a bit, but the previous five hundred could have been condensed. Oh, well. At least I've finally finished it and can delve into something else :).
