I grew up with a love of the written word. Writing is an art just like any other creative endeavor. Unlike painting with pastels, my words are my medium.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing - Judy Blume This book was super cute. I vaguely recall reading it when I was younger, but I'd pretty much forgotten everything. These books will definitely be something I encourage my own children to read. They're especially great for kids with younger siblings.

On a side note, I feel as though I'll never reach this year's goal of reading sixty books. I feel like I read a decent amount, but when you're reading 300+ page books on average somewhere along the way it becomes more of a chore rather than an enjoyable pastime. At least I'll know to set my goal a little lower next year lol. I'd rather overshoot than fall short :/.

I may have to start marking my yearly reads by the overall amount of pages read rather than total number of books ;p.
